My hernia update: Saw the consultant this morning. After a thorough examination,inc lots of prodding she said i will need surgery. She couldnt say when. All she could say was in the meantime if it feels painful or gets any bigger i should contact the urgencias(A&E).

Not a lot to add.
You have been put on the list and it will almost certainly done as a day case, endoscopically.

If it gets painful then it might indicate that it is becoming irreducible and rarely strangulated and this makes it an energency operation and to present yourself at Urgencias.........this is unlikely to happen in my opinion.
