The Listener is an odd topic for AB, in that there is an agreement that specific answers to clues and the theme are not given.

The weekly threads are a chance to see how other regular solvers have got on and to thank the compilers (several of whom are also AB members or readers) for their efforts in producing the hardest crossword-based puzzle each week.

Is it also vainglory? ... possibly

have you ever thought about just keeping your nose out of how and what other people post, and letting them get on with it rather than criticizing it?
