8 month old waking at night
7 Answers
Help! Our 8 month old has for the last 5 nights, woken up crying at a variety of times from 9pm to 4:30am (last night, for 90 minutes). She's slept through the night from 7 weeks and sleeps very well. we tried calpol in case she's teething (depite the fact there's no other signs of it) and this has simply move the time of the outburst until later in the early hours. she's got the 2 bottom teeth, but no sign of any at the top. She's not constipated, not off her food and otherwise extremely happy & well. Any thoughts?

It could be anything from what the other suggestions were or even unusualy stormy weather making noise outside, ear infection...etc.
Just try to keep the routines the same and don't get too upset. Check the baby's temp too. If it goes on for a few more days should go to the doc to have her checked for ear infection.
Teething is a big problem but you also need to keep your baby in there sleeping pattern as this can cause more work for you later on. I would try teething powder which is only herbal but works very well as i use this for my own children, i would also give your baby calpol night as this will help with any teething pain they may have and aids them in a good night sleep.
