Yes. I refused it first time round on the grounds that I've never had chicken pox but accepted it the following year on the grounds that it can be very painful if you do get shingles.
Having suffered from shingles in my 60s I was told I couldn't have the vaccination until I was 70.
I booked it for 2 days after my 70th birthday ang got it no problem.
I've never been offered the Shingles vaccine, nor the pneumonia one (I wasn't even aware one existed - might be worth a go, I had pneumonia in 1953 and it wasn't pleasant)
I’d ask about both, canary, but if you’re 80 or above you won’t get the shingles one as apparently it’s not very effective for those of very ancient age ;)
