Thanks. Would one lung do
I don't know if single lung transplants are performed
Lungs would always be a donation from someone who died, however sometimes if it's a combined heart lung transplant, the first recipients old heart could be transplanted to a second recipient if it was healthy enough.
If the donor wasn't dead before the op, they will be afterwards.

Hallo JJ - hope you're well - missed you x
Lung transplantation is a surgical option for people with cystic fibrosis who have advanced lung disease. During the operation, diseased lungs are replaced with healthy ones gifted from a deceased organ donor. Median survival for people with CF who have had a transplant has improved.

From the NHS website,

"A lung transplant is an operation to remove and replace a diseased lung with a healthy human lung from a donor.

A donor is usually a person who's died, but in rare cases a section of lung can be taken from a living donor."
