Is This Even Feasible ?
Hello all, it's been a while since I've posted any thing on here but i am still on the same series of cases that I was before. I'll try to just post the basics as I see them. Despite my best efforts my mother passed away on 5/1/22 and after autopsy was cremated on 20/4/22 and after asking my siblings who organised this for a copy of the death certificate several times I was never given one. I therefore started asking the coroners office, the registries and the G.R.O for a copy of the certificate thinking that there must have been one for a cremation to take place and also because so far as I was aware I could not start probate without one. None of the people above that I asked could find any trace of her death being recorded. This seemed very strange since I was aware that the 'interim certificate' that I'm eventually told was used to cremate should be sent immediately to the registrar so that the death can be registered, not so I'm told on the 17/2/23 it's sent to the detective was meant to be investigating an allegation of 'wilful neglect' (this started in late Dec. 21') and was and still is a ridiculous since everything I did concerning my mother was wall to wall video recorded with years of still photos and hundreds of hours of seperate audio files. I kept asking 'what neglect' exactly she could see and after a really long time was told that 'it's concened with you giving your mother an enema' something I've done before when needed, not something anyone would really want to do unless really necessary (which it was), not an offence and definitely not neglect, Im still baffled. They still have a lot of my property that they seized to 'investigate' this. Anyway, I'm going to copy and paste an email from the coroners office on 17/2/23 saying that they are awaiting an update from the police (who have the temporary death certificate) regarding the cause of my mothers' death. Surely that is the coroners job and why he did an autopsy ?
Dear .....
Thank you for your email.
We are currently still waiting for an update from the police regarding Beryls cause of death.
When this has been received we will be able to update yourself and the registrars further.
The funeral would have been dealt with by using an interim certificate, which was forwarded to the police.
Kind regards
I have much more detail I'd be happy to share, tbh it makes no sense at all to me, thanks for anyideas you might have.

We had her funeral after about 18 months with the statement of death interim certificate thing when they'd finished with her body, but the police investigation was still ongoing for another couple of months. We wer e only told on the day of the inquest that the investigation was over, and that the certificate would be sent to the registrar a few weeks later
