I’ve been taking Vit D regularly this winter. Not prescribed just voluntarily. Remind me of the benefits, I didn’t notice any effects good or bad. Should I stop now that the days are longer and I’m outside more?

There is a school of thought that VitD helps with Covid - not sure if its the after effects or whilst you have it.
But, I remember being there is a high number of VitD deficiencies amongst the GB population due to the lack of decent sunlight.
So as long as its a reasonable does - carry on - if you want medical opinion give your GP surgery a ring.

I'm now taking it regularly. When we lived in France all O.70s were prescribed a (free) MASSIVE dose of Vit D to be taken end October. They reckoned it was worth the money to increase immune reactions.
interestingly, after OH's spell in hospital in March, they sent him home with - a large dose of Vitamin D! I'll keep on taking it. Can't guarantee enough sun here.
