I must say, I do love to sit out on the veranda in the pouring rain, the heavier the better. I have no objection to walking in the pouring rain apart from the hassle of arriving at your destination looking like a drowned rat.

Rain, for small periods, can be ok if one is out of it. If caught walking in it you have to wait until accustomed to being soaking wet & cold before it starts to not feel so bad.
