Hayfever

Do those of you who suffer from hayfever get a wheeze with it?
The last couple of years I seem to have developed hayfever for the first time in my life. This year it seems to be accompanied by a slight wheeze on exhaling.

I developed hayfever in my teens. It seems to have reduced over the years but I still get occasional sneezes etc.. Never had wheezes though.

Maybe you have a slight infection in addition ?

I developed hay fever later in life, too. I do wheeze but I put that down to it aggravating my asthma.

Yes, I am not a hay fever sufferer, but an expiratory wheeze, is not an uncommon symptom of respiratory allergies of which hay fever is one.

No not really but I'm Asthmatic so do have inhalers for it. I have had a lot of the sneezes but this year its my eyes its really got bad, red and stinging around my eye lids a bit.

I used to have dreadful hay fever but someone recommended taking local honey every day. I really dislike honey but had a go and my hay fever just went. It’s got to be honey from the area around where you live, not from a big supermarket. I had a teaspoon every morning which wasn’t easy, but I stuck at it and have been free from hay fever for many years. Worth a try? Good luck.

Well Barry, I can only speak from experience, plus I have a relation who is a pharmacist and she has since told me that it does work. You are quoting from a 20 year old study from the USA.

It may be an old study but it still hasn't been scientifically proven. As I said, I'm glad you are cured and honey is always good
