Operation Scheduled For Tomorrow - Fingers Crossed, Please

I should have had it done a few weeks ago but it was cancelled the day before. Hopefully this won't happen today.
Just a simple, straightforward day case little op under local anaesthetic to lift my eyelid so I can see properly without looking like a startled rabbit. I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long to get the other eye done,
The surgeon assured me I will look 20 years younger and handsome again - I didn't know if I should be offended. :D

It's not cosmetic, that is just a bonus side affect, anne. I have developed strange muscles in my eyebrows from constantly raising them to see and I have to tilt my head right back to look ahead. I'm forever looking down my nose at people :( It causes a lot of headaches.

What irks me is that I'm now told doctors/consultants no longer have secretaries. I am still sweating on a biopsy result done two weeks ago on a tumour and the result of a CT scan a week later (last Friday). It really is in my interest to find out if colon cancer has recurred again. I waited two years for a colonoscopy after I told the consultant I thought the symptoms were unfortunately familiar. You just can't seem to chase these people up.
