A rather sad revelation into the last months of our Sovereign Queen. Bless her. What a brave and stoic lady. Who knew she was dying of Bone Cancer?

would certainly fit the bill.

I am in this category: shadow ( 3cm) in lung and no b ony mets.

Obviously terminal 16 wks before hand - did she change her scedulle?

1926 - at her majesty's birf: "a certain course of action was followed," was how they put Elizabeth Bowes-Lyons ( that was) caesarian section under ether.

To be honest, you get to a certain age and you dont care who looks where
Retro, it was Gyles Brandreth who said the Queen had bone cancer, but nobody else agreed with that and it wasn't on her death certificate.
Most of us know what the Sussexes did at the time it happened.
Not sure why it's being resurrected now.
Beyond sad, retrocop. I cannot believe that any of HM's close family was unaware so it just confirms my disgust and contempt of those who put themselves first.

//Not sure why it's being resurrected now.//

Because I was unaware of the reason for her death and the suffering she endured. I happen to believe Brandreth's account. As for the death certificate stating old age as cause? They can and do write almost what they are told to write. Of course she was of an age but how many people were certified cause of death was Covid but it was known the victims died of other causes.?
"The Daily Beast" talks of an unnamed "friend" who gave their opinion ...
I, too, am content to believe Brandreth who is old school and has enjoyed personal knowledge of and friendship with the Royal Family.
With regard to the link - Harry is far to self-centered and self-pitying to think for a moment how his nonsense affects those he professes to care about.
I'd bet one of her shillings that she didn't have to beg for pain relief unlike some.

Anyway, she's free of it now.
Very sad. Poor lady. The man is a disgrace.
The cause of death was 'old age' a/c to the New York times

coroners do not encourage this as a cause of death.
I wonder how many of you have seen recent photos of Prince Edward.
He has lost loads of weight and the 'Royal Experts' are saying he doesn't have a serious illness but is suffering badly from the loss of his Mother.
She seemed liked a nice lady. Lots of people have died of cancer.
yes
noticed
the REALLY old amongst us, are saying - he looked like George VI 1952 when he waved off Princess Elizabeth ( she returned as Queen)

audiences gasped at how ill the King looked, (pathe News)

bone ca was probably metastatic bone cancer
PP I've said for a long time how P. Edward resembles George VI.
If the Queen died of Metastatic cancer where did it originate?
Might have been multiple myeloma. Giles B should have shown discretion really, seeing that he claimed to be a friend of the late Queen.
The big five are lung breast kidney prostate ( usually sclerotic) and Blood.
Take your pick. If you present with a lot of mets, you may not bother to 'hunt the primary' as it does not affect survival
I was thinking that if our late Queen had cancer, we might have heard about it, but knowing how private they prefer to be, perhaps not.
From The Daily Beast?
That well-known fount of truth?

The article mentions ‘bone cancer’ and ‘bone marrow cancer’. Which was it? They are very different things.

I don’t believe a word. Neither do I believe a word from Gyles Brandreth - Chief Name Dropper.

The Express isn’t much better, and it still quotes the Daily Beast as its source.
