Because men cause us to.

I had a conversation about this with the Surgeon I work for. He said his wife (a GP) is always nagging him. I asked if he needed nagging and he replied, "Yes, but it doesn't stop me b.itching about it."
If a woman asks a man to do something, and he does it when asked, it's not mentioned again.

If he doesn't do it, and she has to ask another dozen times, that is called 'nagging'.

The difference between those scenarios lies in the response of the nan involved.

Nagging is a word verboten in our house. When I get an earful from my wife over a trivial misdemeanour, like forgetting to put the wheelie bin out in the previous evening prior to collection I ask her to stop. nagging. The late citizens of Pompeii never experienced a real eruption and no error. :-(

So far then it appears a man needs to do everthing a women requests or face repeated requests. But if a man asks a women to do something, they can make an excuse not to, never to be spoken about again.?
I try not to nag but do use the broken record technique if required.

'Empty the caddy bins, please.'
'Empty the caddy bins, please.'
'Empty the caddy bins, please.'
'Empty the caddy bins, please.'
I think that many women marry someone who is not really ideal, but they think that he is better than nothing and that they can make him ideal by working on him to make him change for the better. They're wrong, and they become bitter and naggy; the husband gets fed up with it and goes out with his mates or even worse goes out with other women.
Most women are too physically weak to beat their husbands, so they lash them with their tongue instead.
I have the reverse. Mr RR nags me constantly. It gets on my freakin wick and doesn’t motivate me to do anything.
Anything that is urgent is automatically the "blokes" responsibility it would seem. If he is liable to stray into enjoying himself territory however it is instantly a signal for wimmin to take immediate control of the circumstance. Know this and the World is a wonderful playground. Do random and entirely unnecessary chores or improvements whilst pretending that it was indicated that you must. Look like you are enjoying it. Anything that has been pressed upon you to "sort out immediately" must be done in such a fashion that you are barred from ever doing it again. A burst food caddy bag is a winner all day long. Always, but always, park the car on the evening before "bins day" so that they cannot be manoeuvred past the car. Then come to the rescue with aplomb and do that thing that wimmin fail at before even starting. Park it up again with a yawn, one handed, with your eyes closed. Drives em nuts. :))
Togo. Good grief. Have you been spying on us from behind your curtains. A very similar situation I am familiar with. :-)
I have never felt the need to mould Mr T into something more acceptable. He's fine as he is. Why would you marry someone who didn't quite fit?
That would be really stupid.

Tilly, I agree; but I think it often happens. A woman who wants a husband can persuade herself that the man within reach can, with a little training, become ideal. I never ever thought that I would mould or train my wife to be the ideal that I would prefer, I just decided to accept her as she was. It must be lovely to have found a true soul-mate.

My answer was somewhat tongue in cheek.

If you question is actually serious, I suggest you start hanging around with different women, who don't moan and complain so much.

Unless you are suggesting that all women moan and complain?

I would advise against that as a stance - especially on here!!

So lets focus on the moans and complaints that you cant really blame the men for. Just had my hair done, but its not right, my new jeans and shoes i bought yesterday, today, they dont fit? I'm putting on weight, my nails keep breaking,M&S knickers are not the same. Over to you.:>)

Hanging about? at my age AH, I may get a jail term :>)
We get along, Atheist. :-)
At present I am not very mobile and my husband is having to do a bit more. He hears half of what I say to him and does about a quarter - I have good reason to moan! Some of it is frustration because I can't do quite simple things for myself though.
If you're a curmudgeonly, moaning, miserable git, then you are. It doesn't mater what your gender were at birth.
Women moan and 'complain' because they have high standards...
