How many mg of magnesium tablets is safe to take?
I have 300mg and it says take 2 tablets a day. Looking online it says that is too much. What's the right dosage?

Did you get them from your GP? If so, follow the instructions that you have been given.
600mgms a day of magnesium is a little over the top but no big deal.

If that is the dose prescribed by your GP then 600mgms daily is fine.
Watch out for the possible diarrhoea though!

I wasn't prescribed them, just got them over the counter.
I'm only taking them for 2 days now, just took one a day.
Stomach upset depends on which kind of magnesium. I think it's magnesium oxide and possibly magnesium citrate which might cause 'issues'.
Also, some forms are more easily absorbed by the body.
If you're a male, the RDA is 400-420 per day...a bit less for women.
That seems sensible IATOO.
