Nailedit. You don't know. There will be a self-survival instinct in you and you should also think of those who love you. Don't let them down. I honestly don't think you want to beat this, Nailedit. Alcohol is your escape and your emotional crutch. Quitting would mean having to face up to reality and I think you would rather drink yourself into oblivion than have to live each day facing up to reality.

You remind me of my aunt who didn't want to stop drinking. She died on 06 June 2020 in the back of an ambulance after vomiting huge volumes of blood. She was 61.

I never knew my dad, but I knew that he loved my mother and that, since she died full of cancer at a relatively young age (never smoked or drank), that my dad must have had something going for him, as I am still alive after a life of excess in the realm of sex, drugs and alcohol. When I had kids and grandkids, I figured that if I could live to a ripe old age, then perhaps they would do the same. If I were to top myself or kill myself through excess, then I would be possiby condemning them to the same fate. It's crazy and back to front, but I felt that that a long life for me would prove that they would also inherit a long life.
