Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Operation
7 Answers
Has anybody had it?
My wife had the operation a month ago, all went well and her wrist has healed, the numbness in the hand has gone, but she is complaining of a bad aching in her wrist & forearm.
We wonder if this is normal & will go in time, and don't know which is best, to rest it or to exercise.
Any advice please?

I'm totally unqualified to judge, but my thoughts are that digging around in the wrist among tendons, veins & muscles is bound to leave its toll - at least for while, but I don't want to say much for fear of sounding unsympathetic ;0)
He is a much respected surgeon in the region who told her he had done the operation over 300 times - so he knows that of which he speaks and we don't want to pester him unnecessarily.
I guess time will be the best healer.
