Living Without A Tv (Again)
Ive posted before about not owning a tv.
(A bit like vegans always have to let you know that they are vegans the minute you meet them, I know..)
But my sister and her new BF paid a visit a couple of days ago and he was like "where's your TV"?
Just what the hell is it that people can't comprehend that NOT owning a TV was the norm just a few decades ago?
I watch much more intersing stuff on you tube than the latest storyline on eastenders or whatever.
Honestly dont get the idea that i need a TV.
I occasionally miss a good movie here and there and the occasional drama (I would have liked to have seen the recently aired "The Reckoning") but my life is no less different because I havn't.
I wouldnt have a TV in my home again.
Why would I when Ive got plenty of entertainment here on AB?

I once went 7 or 8 years without a TV and I found the worst thing was the 'threatening' letters about sending someone round if I didn't pay, even though every year I sent their letter back saying I didn't have a TV.
For the amount of TV I watch these days, I suppose I could quite easily just get rid.
My tv is company...a voice in the background. Radio doesn't do it for me...I can't say why though. There are programs I enjoy...like reliable friends. I do watch some YouTube content on my tablet that I subscribe to...but it gets hard on my eyes.
Don't get me wrong, there are times I wish I could do without it. So I don't think you are odd...maybe lucky that you can do without.
Wolf BA.
Same here more or less.
