But there's nothing worse than going into a loo and finding a load still in there from the last occupant. Like finding the seat warm, you know they've had a long session.....
I read somewhere that you should have your hand on the handle, ready to flush as soon as it hits the water, so you at least have one flush under your belt before you stand up!
My brother once went into a restaurant and between starter and main he went to the loo. There was a floater the size of a log and he couldnt eat his meal. When he went to pay he was asked if he enjoyed his meal he said not really - go into trap 2.The manager came out and waived the bill.
Now this is believe it or not meant to make you feel better cos its the volacity of the flush which is wrong. You may have a slight prob but I have the same prob in pubs but I'm OK at home.I sometimes use a wad of toilet roll on top and the weight helps it on its way..
Floating stools can also be a sign of wheat/glutan intolerence or coeliac disease. You could try a wheat/gluten free diet you might even feel better for it. I had to switch to this diet last year, I have since lost 3 inches all over my hips, thighs and waist without changing anything else at all and feel so much better for it and have no IBS at all. Floating stools shouldn't really be ignored if they are always like that, esp if as one other AB has already said they are also greasy looking and pale in colour.
Also, my dietician told me that stools float because of fat content in them and thus is a sign of malabsorption, but can also simply be because they are full of air. Do you find you have alot of flatulence? If so, (and you don't need to answer, hehehe) you could try avoiding typically air inducing foods such as sprouts, beans etc.....
Hope you manage to sort it soon, it must be a nightmare for you. I really feel for you.
