Urine Looks Like Potato Water
My oldster is well in himself, no temperature or bizarre behaviour (signs of kidney infection in the elderly, we've been there before) but his urine is cloudy and 'thick'.
I've given him weak squash to drink (he won't drink plain water) and will get him to drink as much as possible but does anyone know what has caused this - and need I worry?
It doesn't smell any different.

P~ss prophets. The other lot ( looked at poo) were in charge when the King went mad 1788. but their observations still allow the dx of porphyria to be made. ( colour of the urine interfered with THEIR prognostications).
( and then someone did a genetic analysis on the Prince who flew his aeroplane into a bill, and found the gene)
Take him to the doctor. If he is very dehydrated that can thicken all bodily fluids, and dehydration can weaken the bodies natural defenses to germs. Its likly the cloudy urine is due to a lot of bacteria, could be a hard to detect infection. And with a specimin (small amount of urine in sterile cup with lid) it'll be easy for a doctor to order labs, which will give you clear answers. Make them drink a bunch of water? see if the symptoms clear?
