What's Cooking At Yours Today?
I'm cooking two different curries (with the aim of freezing the majority of it down) - a curry made from a leg of lamb which is currently cooking low and slow and my favourite curry of chicken and prawn. We have keema rice and lentil dhal as well so it will be something akin to thali on the menu tonight.
What's cooking at yours this fine Easter Saturday?

Still got some left over so into a salad with baby leaves and watercress later - just made a baby potato salad with apple, more pomegranate seeds, and chives, the spuds put into balsamic, maple syrup, e-virgin oil, and then when cool, mayo and chives added. Enough for tomorrow - and I'll probably roast some beef off - with a Dijon or grain mustard covering.
I'll be using some nice big fleshy prawns in curry tonight, Johnny, which will be around the strength of a madras.
The noodles sound good, RH - I haven't made any in ages.
Don't blame you, Margo. If OH wasn't here to do all the prep, i.e. chopping all the onions and blitzing the garlic, ginger, chillies and coriander, not to mention tidying up as I go along, I wouldn't be going to such effort. I can't really mess with things like raw onion and garlic or handle raw meat or fish too much with my hand eczema, although it has improved a lot recently.
OH bought some funny sausages the other day - pork, beef and tomato. They were actually okay.
The lamb smells gorgeous - due to come out of the oven at 15:30.
OH managed to find a whole Gressingham duck reduced to £1.50 the other day - I have no idea how best to cook it so suggestions most welcome.
I'm the same, Sharon. I'd struggle to eat anything more than a salad after that. Luckily I've only had a hot cross bun today so I will appreciate the efforts of my labour later.
Nowt! I had a bacon sandwich for brunch.
I've since eaten far too much from a Cadbury chocolate Easter egg my lovely niece delivered yesterday.
On my own I can't be bothered to make a fuss.
I'm eating roast leg of lamb tomorrow with family.
I'm seriously considering Oak House or Wiltshire farm foods ready meals.
