Who Swaps Their Winter Duvet For A Summer One??

Does anyone here actually do this?? Or do you just have the same duvet on your bed all year round? I only ask because we have just the one, which is quite a thick one, and last night I was just so hot that I thought why on earth don't I just but a much lighter weight one for the summer? ( only slight issue would be storing this bigger one somewhere until winter but that's about it).

I do ihave 2 lighter ones which I put together in winter, it works well as I can put in the washing machine, as I  can't get a winter one in.

Yes, I do.
4.5tog for the summer, and 10.5tog for the winter.
Whichever one is not in used is popped in a vacuum storage bag and uses hardly any space.

I sleep under a lightweight throw in the summer.  I can't stand being hot in bed

Put it in a bin again and stuff in in the airing cupboard if you have one or the loft.

I do, but haven't yet - glad, as it was chilly last night.  Cold rain all morning.

I can't sleep if I'm too hot and discoverd quite by accident that the top of the duvet is quite cool compared with the side that's against the body. If I wake up because I'm too hot, I just flip the duvet over and the cooler side cools me down and I fall asleep very quickly.

Yes I do Smo - like ferlew I have a 10.5 and a 4.5.  

The difficulty is when to take the plunge and do the changeover.   I was about to get out the summer one and then it got a bit chilly again.  But you can always put a warm throw on top.

Yes...John Lewis All-Seasons. Two together for Winter, the thin one for Summer and thicker for Spring and Autumn.

Yes I think I may order one today - I know the weathers turned grotty again after such a gorgeous weekend, but I really can't stand being hot at night.

I use the same duvet all year but supplement it with a fleece blanket when it's colder.

One extra thick one for the dark cold winter nights, and two thinner ones come into action in the spring.

No, I don't swap duvets as we have only one. I take that off when it gets warmer and put an eiderdown on the bed.

Then, I take my duvet to be cleaned and store it in the bag that the dry cleaners put it in.

I change mine as soon as it starts to get warmer. Doesn't matter which one is on the bed though, i still have to have at least one foot outside the covers or i cannot sleep. 

Told my kids that's why i want cremating when i've 'popped me clogs'. If they decide to bury me, they'll have to ensure one of my feet is outside the grave or i'll never rest. 😁

I changed to the lighter duvet at the beginning of May. We have a single throw each which we can add or take away depending on the changes in weather or separate preferences. 
 

The winter duvet gets squashed into a big laundry bag and stored at the top of the cupboard. 
 

They are designed to be clipped together for ultra warmth but that's rarely necessary.

My duvet clips together a 4 and 9 tog

I have a sleeping bag which unzips to form a lightweight quilt.  I use it in the warmer nights.
