Memorial

I lost a friend in a car accident at the weekend and I don't want to lay flowers at the scene as I think that's a bit morbid and I'd feel a fraud if I lit a candle in church for her as neither of us ever attended. Any suggestions for a fitting memorial before the funeral?

Verry sorry to hear about the tragic loss of your friend chimney.

A few years back I suffered a similar loss and I planted a tree in their memory. I approached a local museum (We used to play in the grounds together when we were children) and they were very helpful indeed.

Plant a small tree in a garden or local park....it'll always be there to remind you of the good times

If you can't plant anything in a public place and you have a garden. How about planting something in your own garden and then you can see it every day.

Perhaps a small rose bush

I have a Forest Fire in my back garden, in memory of my mother, it was her favourite, maybe you could do something similar.

I lost my mum on new years day last year. We scattered the ashes in the countryside where she used to live. All donations at her funeral went to the Tsunami appeal, and on her birthday and anniversary of her death I do a donation to charity instead of flowers. This keeps her memory alive. she loved dogs, especially greyhounds, so my cash goes to them in her name.

So sorry you have lost a good mate and I am sure whatever you do he will be smiling.
