Gorgeous morning here so far - don't know if it will last but weather forecast for the whole week is looking very pleasant indeed. Am not used to it raining less than 6 days a week so this may take some getting used to lol!
Have been looking online for some birthday gift ideas. Very very difficult when kids(or anyone tbh) hit 20 +. Anything they really like they have bought themselves, I loathe giving money, as it's never used for a treat but instead probably goes on shopping etc, or whatever they need it for as it's in their pocket, but I also hate buying stuff that u know will just get chucked into a drawer, never to be seen again. My youngest son, my daughter and me all have our birthdays in the same week lol, that wasn't planned tho!  She was born 8 days late and he was 6 weeks early!
Today I am expecting a call from my doctor around noon to see if the results are in from a v important test I had done. Will explain all tomorrow depending on the news ; )

Hope ur all going to have a good one today!

(and great news ferlew about the lawn mower - well done!!(on prev thread) )

Good morning.  I am guilty of giving cash to my goddaughters and one of them's sister.  The little one's either gets saved or used for treats.  The other two always use it to go out for a meal.

Off to Cambridge today, a break from all the trips to tip and charity shop and hopefully relieve some of the stress of the house move that as soon as you think your getting somewhere it goes backwards again.

Good morning! Oh a meal out is always a good idea - I just know that mine prob wud never use for that lol.
So what's the plan for when you get to Cambridge? Beautiful day for a beautiful city.

Probably a wander round the individual shops down the lanes, see if any of the museums are open, (so many have limited opening now). Good look round John Lewis to get some ideas for new house, 'living in hope'.  We did the full on tourist bit a few months back when we had visitors from America.

Grab a meal before coming home. That will have to be one of the decent chains as most don't open until pre theatre time.

That sounds a lovely day!

Morning all, I agree about present buying. I pay my grown up children to have a night out, whether I can go with them all not.  They all enjoy the theatre and live music.  If it's a big birthday I pay for a weekend away.

Morning Barry. That's actually a good idea.

Morning, I'm late on parade today.

Good morning. It is a nice day in Norfolk with the sun pushing through fluffy clouds, am on my last day off before a return to work tomorrow. Good luck Smow with the medical tests.

I recently bought an afternoon tea with cocktails voucher for my 30 something niece. She was over the moon as she can go with her partner and have a cheeky afternoon away from the kids 😋

Morning Naomi - what parade is that?

hi William. Where abouts in Norfolk? I lived there for many years, my middle son still does.
Oh that's a good idea AP - bet that went down very well indeed!
