Terrible.

(BTW the DM is now one of those sites insisting on either being allowed to spy on the viewer, or demanding a sub. Not really a good source to link to any more.)

I can read it all without paying, OG.  I use Edge with AdBlock Plus to read the DM

Unsure Edge works on mobiles/tablets. I'll look into it, thanks.

Looks like they do make one for Android, an AI one though ?! Sorry to derail the subject, but I'll give it a try.

damn savage....etc

O_G, that article is not behind a pay wall...at least not on my android tablet.

The LGB community have been saying, for years, that there is a real problem with the TQ+ and their insistence on indoctrinating young children to question their gender.

That more and more of their 'leaders' are being unmasked as serial sex-offenders is absolutely no coincidence.

Question Author

I don't really understand how the transgender community got lumped in with the LGB community.  I can't see any commonality between the two groups.

Me, either, barry.

We have been trying to get away from them for years...

Question Author

Most of the gay people I know avoid the community altogether, dislike gay pride events and campaigns.  Not that they are ashamed of being gay, they don't see the point of it.

Years ago, the Pride marches were more political - there was still a long way to go to gain full equality. We felt that we were all pulling together to try and impress upon the political leaders of the day, that we were no threat and that to discriminate, in any way, against us was both wrong and unfair.

Once the brick walls started to tumble, the need for the political pressure evaporated; however, the Pride marches evolved into the Mardi Gras/party parades.

Being older and a veteran of the previous marches, and having aceived our aims, I no longer see any need to attend.

Old_Geezer, i use windows 11, if you get a paywall, on the address far right you will see what looks lik a little note, click that and then you will see the article.

Millstones and necks come to mind.

Question Author

Yes, I can understand the need for Pride events years ago.

One of my gay friends said this year that he would no more go to a gay pride events now than he would go to an Irish pub outside Ireland (he's Irish). Made me laugh anyway

My sentiments, exactly. 😁

Thanks fender, but these days general surfing/leisure web stuff is on android. Desktop is saved for serious "work".

11.16 - blimey JTH, that's brave; that would normally have the achingly right-on, led by sp, piling-in, but they're remarkably quiet. Perhaps it's the weather.

All power to your elbow.
