There are 3 clues where I seem to have the answer but cannot reconcile the parsing :-
1) Give queen chops after having taken large bite (8) P?Q?A?C?. It has to be PIQUANCY (bite) but, apart from Q (or Qu) for "queen", I'm stuck.
Male with heartless jokes interrupts offensive weathy hedonists (3,3,3) T?E ?E? S?T. It has to be THE JET SET (wealthy hedonists), and I get ?HE (male) JET S (heartless jokes ie jests), but how is T ET "offensive"?
Type of stance Blair first described as bad, later better (3,6) T?O ?E?G?D. It looks like TWO LEGGED, but why?
