Guests on Loose Women today are Romesh and his mother, and the daughter of Mel B.  Anyone else fed up with celebrities pushing their relatives forward, like Barney Walsh, Roman Kemp, etc?

Never watch that trash so not a problem

There's nothing wrong with nepotism if you have a useful uncle.

Was it Jack Whitehall and his dad that started this trend?

No problem, just switch the rubbish off.

I've never noticed...probably because I don't watch the down-market shows they must be on.

Although I never watch Loose Women, I know a lot of people who do, and who like it, so I wouldn't say it was trash.  It touches the interest of a large number of women, and men, too.

But I agree with Theblip, why should viewers be interested in a nonentity just because he/she is related to a celebrity?

Trotting out family members could get boring for viewers.  If it only happens once in a while, it could be tolerated, but if it starts happening regularly, people will vote with their remote control, and stop watching it, I think.

Never watched any programmes like that. Nepotism shows decline - like inbreeding, it eventually implodes in the vast majority of cases.

No idea who those people are. Professions do tend to run in families though - doctors/lawyers/actors/etc. So if being a celeb is a profession it's only natural I spose.

How loose are these women... and it's on daytime TV.

Gosh! 🤔

It's one thing when the offspring are in the profession and a different thing when they just bring on the mother or daughter for no good reason.  Did you complain when Nancy Sinatra or Liza Minnelli were in the spotlight or the Fondas, father and daughter or the whole Redgrave acting dynasty, the Dotrices and on and on.  It happens in other walks of life, several generations of doctors in a family or the butcher e.g. Jones & Son.  Why should the entertainment business be any different?
