If one was of the opinion that anyone who voted for Trump was an "uninformed horrible person" how many of those would it take for the opinion holder to think he/she may be wrong?

There are many people here who think that anyone who has the temerity to disagree with them is an idiot or an uninformed horrible person. This degree of intolerance only shows that the real idiots and uhr are the ones they see in the mirror.

....yes and they are blind to the neo fascism they have themselves.

I just love this website! 😄 😄 😄

Some people never concede that they're wrong until they grow up and realise that their fifth form political view of the world is naive, impractical and unworkable  - and even then some cling doggedly to the delusion of their own infallibility.   They cry 'fascism' at every opportunity, never realising that their 'my way or no way' mentality is just that.

101ClarionSt me to its a real comedy trip at times.😎

I wouldn’t say that those who voted for Trump were uninformed horrible people – but I suspect many are uninformed people; having not bothered to take even a cursory look at Project 2025 (the Republican fascist agenda for Trump’s presidency), or listened to the things he said he would do as president.

A bit like those who voted for Brexit – they had no idea what they were going to get.

i think we've done this question to death toratoratora

to answer your question... the numbers are irrelevant. if somebody cast a vote for trump in the election then i think they either did so out of ignorance or they didn't and they are a horrible person. i don't care how many people that is. it looks to be very similar to the number of people who did it last time.

i think i have explained why i think this enough. would you care to explain why you have asked the same question twice in a few days?

74m v 1 does not make you reassess your view? Not even a little bit?  That's olympic standard arrogance there me old china.

i don't care how many people think something toratoratora. it doesn't make them right.

Question Author

"would you care to explain why you have asked the same question twice in a few days?" - this is not the same question. This is about view intransigence in the face of overwhelming opposition.

it is the same question!

untitled, why, in your opinion, are 74 million people who happen not to share your politics 'horrible'?   You sound like a petulant 12 year old who can't get his own way.

Question Author

It's not the same question I could just have easily have said "How many people have to hold an opposing view on anything before you re assess your own view?" I just used a recent example.

What about the Germans who suported Hitler? Or Mussolini? Or Putin?

Apologists for Trump remind me of the British who thought that Hitler was not so bad as made out.

because of what they have voted in favour of naomi. i appreciate that some voted in ignorance but i do not believe that to be a majority.

What do you think they have voted for, untitled?  And if it's anything like the disingenuous nonsense you came out with yesterday, try something else.

A vote seems to indicate that you have accepted 'the whole' package, whereas that is often far from the case. I would be willing to bet that there are many Republicans who hope that some of the policies are quietly shelved but will be right behind DJT on others. It's the way democracy works.

time for a rethough? I think the re-thinkers have been re-thinking

we know the time span 4y and what he is gonna do -  withdraw from Ukraine and let Russia have it

and give the Israelis a free hand

and yes we have to get on with it

"I would be willing to bet that there are many Republicans who hope that some of the policies are quietly shelved but will be right behind DJT on others."

such people are uninformed. the republicans have made huge efforts to enact their program at state level and now have the opportunity to do so nationally.
