I have been invited to a 2 hour class tomorrow, where we do yoga for the first 45 minutes followed by egyptian dancing.
I have done yoga before but it was a mother & baby group, so dont really know what to expect.
I haven't done any 'real' exercise for nearly 4 years now & although I'm excited I'm very nervous, so if you have any stories, advice or tips for me I would be very grateful !

Yoga is great! I HATE exercising and this is the only way I ever get any. I never realised how much I loved yoga until I started it!!! I know that sounds like the obvious but after my first practice I was in love with it!! I have to warn you that you will be a bit sore later in the day or the next but that's only because you have not worked out. The more you do, the less sore you will get until you never get sore at all.

I don't know what poses they do in mother/baby yoga, but I'm sure they are similar. It is stretching and holding poses, incorporated with correct breathing (which they will show you in the beginning).

The Egyptian dancing I have no idea but please come back and tell us what THAT is like!

PS -- you go at your own pace -- don't bother with what anyone else is doing. Your body will tell you how far into the pose you can COMFORTABLY GO.

Enjoy!
