Doesn't guarantee you won't catch it.

Dil was in hospital last week and 3 out of 6 were hospitalised due to flu. (In her ward of 6 beds)

'cos they are stooooopid?

My wife and I have had the Flu vaccine. It help's against certain viruses, but not all.

No point bothering. If you get flu then you get flu. You're unwell for a bit then recover, or you're released early from this thing called life.

No flu vaccine is 100% effective. I have the flu vaccine every year and yes, last year I caught flu, quite badly.

Flu can be a killer. If you get vaccinated you are reducing the chance of you catching it and reducing the odds of passing it on. If you don't vax, you are increasing the chance of others catching it and possibly dying. Non-vaxers get the benefit of being less likely to catch it.

But they give nothing in return.

The Covid vaccine gave me a life long medical condition. I won't be having another vaccination.

I shall not be having a flu jab next year.

For the past three years I have suffered a very bad reaction to it. Last year I had both the flu and Covid jabs together. I was quite ill and put it down to having both at once.

This year I had the flu jab by itself. Again I was quite ill - laid up for the best part of three days. Towards the end of November I suffered from another flu-like illness which again laid me low.

Next year I'll just take my chances.

There possibly are lots of cases of actual 'flu' around (influenza) but I don't know anyone personally with it but I do know masses of people - myself, husband, family, neighbours, work mates etc that have had coughs and colds all over this Xmas and I doubt the flu jab had any effect on preventing any of it.

Prudie. Mrs Atheist has had that for a few days, but it's not flu as we have experienced it in the past. Three days feeling bad after a jab is much less dodgy than real flu.

While I can understand that the few who have bad post-vax experiences are reluctant to repeat it, all other non-vaxers are IMHO selfish.

I have had both jabs this winter and will continue to do so (and this is in spite of blood clot on brain after the A/Z vaccine which has stopped me from driving ever again - perhaps it's me who's stupid 😁)
