Instant Filtered Coffee

I have been given some coffee pods .I don't have a filter machine so i simply put the contents into a cup and poured hot water over to dissolve, followed by milk and microwaved the mixture. There was no problem at all (no grittiness left over at the bottom of the cup,which i had read that there would be).Any comments please out there?

If it tasted all right - sounds good.

Since it was instant rather that real bean, that should be expected.
