I met Mr Jules when I was 16, we were married when I was 19 (not because we had to) and we are still together today and I am now 43. We are still as happy now as we were then, maybe even more so.
I was 21 but he was 30. The only problem is that I met him so young I might always wonder what I missed ... but you can't have it all, I guess!
I was about 30, and it was at a music convention for our mutually favourite band.

But, I don't think asking other people is particularly going to be helpful, simply because they're not you. I realise that's not terribly encouraging, but these things just happen when they happen. My belief is that it's not something you can force because it's all about someone with whom you can be entirely natural.
Met my present wife when I was 25 and she was 17 at, of all places, my wedding to my first wife ( she is my first wife's cousin). That was a miserable marriage and when it ended several years later we got together and have been blissfully happy ever since, so although I'd known her since 25 I was 35 before we got together as a couple.
I'd just turned 19 and my wife to be had just turned 15.
I was 16 my husband was nearly 17. We got married when I was 19. We have been together a long time now, but I would have to say the same as Eels that we met too young and sometime I envy the younger people who are still unattached. That's life I suppose.
11, 25, 40 and 50 !!!!!!
i was 19 and i am 50 this year so thats 31 years ..before i met mr m i did enjoy myself a lot working in cornwall for summer seasons i joined the raf briefly!! dont ask about that one..and i used to go out 7 nights a week..so i had a good time before i settled down...i dont think its wise to settle down to soon my daughter had a mortgage when she was 18 and was working in the day and at university at night so her youth was either spent at school or work..and she regrets it now,,
We met when we were 19 ( on a blind date,) we married at 25 and we are still as happy and in love today as we were then, we will be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary on the 27th March this year, Good luck finding your special person, you will know when you do. xxx :-)
I was 34 and divorced, she was an 18 year old school girl finishing A levels. I was working at her parents house and I took her sailing regularly. When they realised it was getting serious they sacked me. The best thing they could have done for us. We are still together after 25 years and two great children. I do get on ok with the parents now although mother can be a bit difficult at times.
Met at 16, I took a Saturday job where he worked, opposite my school especially. He was a shy 21. Married at 19, divorced him this month after 28yrs. Don't regret much but sure am looking forward to making up for "spoken for" teenage years!
I was 20 and she had just turned 18. I had finished with my previous girlfriend the day before (sorry Jane), and was not looking for another. She walked in - I asked her out, got engaged soon afterwards - married a year later and we are still together - very happy, its our 23rd wedding anniversary this year.
I was 17, and he was 18 at the time. 5 years later, we are married :) I love him more now than I have ever done before.
I was 23 and Mr S. was 27. We met in Germany. Have been married now for 34 years. I love him dearly..although watch out when they retire ..they get funny ideas and rearrange tins in cupboards !!

Wow, most of you were young! I was hoping you'd all say late 20s! Still time tho...
Ib I was surprised how young too. I was 26, if that helps.

Thanks sunflower, that helps! Most of the above have been married 25+ years so maybe times have changed...
sorry, but I was young too. We met at age 18 at university. We lived in the same halls of residence, and shared the same first initial of our surnames, so shared a mailbox. I noticed someone in my mail box had exactly the same name as my previous boyfriend, which was intriguing, and then I realised it was this friendly guy I'd seen around halls. 17 years and one toddler on, we're more in love than ever.
I met my hubby when I was 27 and he was 43. We met at work and have been together since June 2002, and got married in March 2004!

I was 31 and met my "ONE" at a hair cutting shop. My best friend was cutting his hair and I had just come in to say hello to her. :)
