Men - standing or sitting to urinate?

A collegue tells me that some men 'only' sit down to urinate is this true? tyia (thank-you in advance)

First i've heard of it.....although i do have to lie down occasionally as the Dr told me not to lift anything heavy !!!!!

A few years ago, an article in one of the papers, (so its true), said that in one of the European countries, possibly Sweden, in the pursuit of sexual equality, some women were trying to get their partners to sit to urinate, not heard anything since.

I know men that only urinate whilst sitting - I think it's down to personal preference. I am a single mum with a young boy - I encourage him to stand up to go. I guess it just depends on how you have been taught to go too.

Maybe women should try standing up and using a urinal (anyone seen the film "The full monty" ?)

actually if it's a public loo and it's minging - I normally try and stand!!! Well sort of anyway!

Maybe more men should sit down to tiddle, then maybe there wouldn't be quite so much 'spillage'. My friend even nicknames her husband, 'Splashback'.

Quite right too. When you get three men who always miss the pan I wish they would sit down !! And put the seat down afterwards !

I prefer sitting down for the simple reason that I am able to get rid of more when doing that. Someone mentioned spillage earlier, and that's sort of the reason because despite shaking, there is usually still some in the pipe, so to speak. Sitting - therefore gravity - helps get rid of it all.

for anyones reference on this subject - u should watch series 3 of gimme gimme gimme - tom fully confesses to peeing whilst sitting down and demonstrates - soz am avid fan of this cheap trashy comedy - i luvvvvvv it!

in a club a while back in the gents - lass walks up beside me gives me a nod and just ****** straight into the urinal next to me... i was impressed at first but then disgusted when she marches out wiping her hands on her dress yukkkk
