Could anyone help? Every time I go for a number 2 have a lot of trouble, very painful and blood(this is embarassing)

I don`t think it is piles because after about 1-2 hours after going, the pain gets very bad even worse than th

going to toilet, and can last for hours and sometimes keeps me up at night.I have tried pile creams, the ones with anaestetic help a bit.It is causing me to hold it in-which I know is bad,I think it could be a anal fissure, has anyone had one?or know anything about it?Not a nice subject I know feel bit embarrassed lol

Could be lots of things so i won't even begin to speculate....but...........

GO AND SEE A DOCTOR......tomorrow !!!

Perhaps you should add some dietary fibre.

Blood in movements can be very serious - forget embrassment and get to a doctor NOW if not sooner
I had an anal fissure about five years ago. It was the precursor to a fistula, brough about by crohn's disease. The pain was immeasurable, and bowel movements did indeed take an eternity due to fear of passing a stool. The fissure can heal itself with time, or needs to be operated on by a proctologist. Best to swallow your pride and let your GP do a digital examination and refer you to a specialist. Good luck.

While only a doctor can diagnose if there is a problem, I can not say how important the need to drink loads of water is. It really does make a difference, especially if it hurts to go to the loo.

When I say water, thats what I mean...not coffee/tea etc.

I hope your problem eases in time.

As others have said, you need to see your GP at the earliest opportunity. It could be a number of things and you nedd to get the serious possibilities attended to/discounted as soon as possible.

Nothing to be embarrased about, it's a routine task for your GP but you MUST see one.

Yes I've had an anal fissure and piles at the same time, it was just after giving birth and excruiatingly painful. Went to see a doctor, got cream, pain went away, but sometimes the piles stull hurt. Go get medical help.

thanks everyone have made appt for monday morning, let you know how I get on.Thanks for your advive Netibiza,I think I got the same as you had piles and fissure, yes it is very painful, like passing glass! But the worse pain starts about 1-2 hours after and lasts for hours, hope he can give me something on Monday or try and rule out anything else.

Thanks everyone

The pain you get 1-2 hours later is the anal spincter muscle in Spasm. The only thing that helped me was a heat pad on the area, strong pain killers and lying on my side for an hour. I'm having Botox injections very soon, in the area, evidently this stops the spasms by relaxing the spincter muscle. You can have the muscle cut to relieve the tightness, but my surgeon is trying the botox first. Best of luck I know how debilitating this is! Fibogel & lots of water does help
Sounds like an anal fissure - but you need to see your doctor to make sure that's all it is. There are creams and sometimes even surgery to sort it out if it is.
