dental crown on front tooth, will it hurt much?

I am one of these silly folk who are terrified of the dentist, I am having a crown on a damaged front tooth next week and really want to know what to expect, and will it hurt alot, how long will I be in there etc, thanks alot in advance, emma

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I used to be a dental nurse so can reassure you that once your tooth has been numbed you shouldn't feel anything, If it's badly damaged already the nerve could be dead so you'll feel even less, Try not to be scared have faith in your dentist, a good dentist will understand your fears and be gentle with you, mine always is with my very nervous husband.
