big lips

hello, i've noticed recently that people considered to be attractive, pretty, etc have quite big lips (this might seem obvious but i mean wide as well as thick). my lips are sort of medium and i know how to make them look plumper but i was wondering if there was any way of making them look a little bit wider as well? any tips on making my lips look nice would be helpful, they're one of my only assets and i need to make the most of them!

Jodie Marsh always does a nice job of liplining over the lip by about 3 cms, then filling in with lovely thick lipstick. You would never know the difference.

I would say be who you are. I would say there are as many people who consider big lips unattractive as there are who find them attractive. I certainly am not keen on them

Pete Burns/Jodie Marsh on the one hand, Angelina Jolie on the other. From a bloke's perspective big lips can be attractive, but that's only if they're naturally big. Girls who artificially make them look big with make-up is a source of constant amusement for me and my friends in the pub.

I don't know if it'll make your smile seem wider but someone told me that if you buy fresh root ginger and rub it on your lips they swell up slightly. Always wanted to try for myself but haven't as yet got around to it. You could give it a go

I personally would say that a nice big smile is far more attractive than big lips!

As the others have said, I don't advise drawing yourself a mouth a la Jodie. Not all big lips are attractive and not all medium/thin lips are unattractive. There are plenty of beautiful celebs with thinner lips (Nicole Kidman for instance) - I think it's all about proportion.

I think it looks unnatural and horrible and so do most of the blokes that I ask ... sensual lips which are natural or even maybe slightly enhanced are ok but some of these people just look ridiculous in my opinion .. but someone must like it I suppose ???

Plus, I simply couldn't kiss a girl with loads of lip make-up on. It's just horrible, like kissing an oil slick. Natural is best, or sparingly used lip gloss etc.

I don't understand the obsession with big lips.Remember what happened to Lesley Ash? Perfectly lovely and attractive woman turned into a freak!! as for Pete Burns !! As for drawing lines and filling in with lippy, well it always looks awful and false.Like a pantomine dame or a drag queen! Just be natural and I'm sure you will look fine.

If you already perceive your lips as an asset why mess with them and risk looking rediculous? Just enhance them with a well chosen lipgloss/lipstick in a colour that shows them off well.
