I've just bought some Johnsons Holiday Skin self tanning lotion.

How does it work? Is it ok to use long term, or will my arms and legs drop off?

It would be horrendously expensive to use long term.

Best used now and again for special events or ready for a holiday.

Exactly how that one works I don't know, but if it lists dihydroxyacetone as an ingredient then it effectively interacts with the dead skin cells on the upper layers of your skin and slowly makes them change colour chemically. Only problem is, those skin cells then fall off and eventually the tan fades.

As for making your arms & legs fall off....nothing scientifically proven on that front, but since it doesn't do anything too deep then it's probably going to cause a lot less damage than sitting in the sun.

i used it for about 6 weeks everyday wicked stuff i swear by it. I found though once it reached the darkest colour i didnt tan anymore but its brilliant cant wait till it warms up a bit to slap some on.

Make sure you wask your hands after, though.

The skin inbetween my fingers started to turn orange!
