What's the best mascara you've very used?

What's the best mascara money can buy then gals and guys?

I need to buy a new one. It needs to be reasonably smudgeproof, lengthen without clumping up the eyelashes and have a reasonably small brush that doesn't come out of the wand overloaded with gunk.

Clinique do a great lashbuilding mascara and it does not clog but mascara needs to be replaced frequently to avoid deterioration.

ok ok......i know that you asked for expensive mascara brands......BUT...i have trialed and tested many a mascara and by far Rimmel always come out best (minus the one with the comb) they lengthen, curl and the waterproof ones don't leave even the tiniest smudge. However, if you do want to part with more money then go for "benefit", now that is fairly pricey but its definately worth it!

I agree with sleepincutie, you can't go wrong with Rimmel mascara, I'm not sure of the name, but they do one which is available with a straight or curved brush and it lengthens and volumises brilliantly. To stop 'gunk' overload, just wipe the excess on a tissue before applying.

Oooh, definitely Diorshow is the best mascara in the world, without a doubt, but it does have quite a large brush. Other than that Lancome Hynose is fabulous too.

"benefit" black tube with pink writing (can't remember what it's called - too tired to go find out!), has a great wand/brush. Lancome - anything ending in "cils"works for me too! Found Diorshow too clumpy - brush holds too much product making it wet and difficult to apply.

Hypnose by Lancome, its the best mascara ive ever tried and ive tried a lot of different ones. Its �16 and well worth the money, ive never looked back since.
