Any suggestions for getting rid of chronic indigeston & a feeling of stomach bloatedness which is causing restless sleep at night? Main meal of the day is not eaten late - around 6 p.m, and contains a healthy mix of vegetables.
Are there any specific foods such as bread or carbohydrates which are particular culprits for other sufferers? Thanks.

The doctor told me that I had some sort of infection in my stomach and that in the past doctors thought it was ulcers but this in fact was not the case, anyway that was fifteen years ago and I have only hsd indigestion about five times since and that was after a particularly large binge or meal. You could go to your doctor and ask him about this treatment ,I told a friend of mine about it and she is better now .I think the treatment was pioneered in Australia .I hope this is of some help to you .
Your husband could have GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease
). It is quite common and easy to treat.
Prilosec, an over-the-counter medicine is very good at reducing chronic indigestion. You take one pill a day and it reduces the stomach's creation of too much acid. It takes a couple of days to start working but it is well worth it. Meanwhile, just take 3 or 4 Tums a couple of hours before going to bed.
