Slimming World Sabotage !
Hi I'm a member of Slimming World and have lost 2st 3 lbs. This has taken me since Jan 2005 which is ok in that I didnt want a diet that would restrict me too much because on past regimes I've always kicked them into touch after a couple of weeks. I had decided that I wouldn't be too strict with myslef. love the plan and my group is brilliant.
I wonder if other dieters - esp SW dieters - can empathise with me in that if I have a half way decent weight loss on the Thursday over the next few days I feel it necessary to drink and stuff myself senseless.
I've been plastered for the past 2 nights and heading that way now. Of course, with the booze goes grub...!
I'd give anything to break this cycle and really give the plan a good go. I've got another 3 stone to lose and at this rate its going to be this time next year by the time I reach my target. HELP !!! Advice please !!

Good luck tonight! Let me know how it goes :o)
Thanks for all your support, it is a BIG help! Great idea about having my own mini class! I did something similar with a friend a while back, might have to get that going again.
I want to lose the same amount as you! I was 17st 2 when I started SW in October, just after having my baby. I'm 15.8 at the mo, I'd like to get down to 10.7 or 11
I really don't know what will suit me best as i've been overweight since I was around 7yrs old. Will have to wait and see how I feel as I go down I suppose.
I know how hard it is to feel proud of yourself, especially when it just feels like you have so far so go. Why not have some pics taken now so that you can see how far you have come as you continue to lose the lbs?
Have a great day today. xx
Amy
Well girls I'm totally hacked off. I've been really good this week and have put on 1 and a half pounds !!!
So have been out for lunch with hubby and had salmon with chips and bakewell tart and cream !! I havent finished there either....I'm going to have lots to drink tonight and maybe some dips and doritos.
That should've got it out of my system and I'll be ok tomorrow. If not ..:o(
Hi Amy - as you can tell I'm in the middle of a big scoffing mood. These dont happen to me very often now thankfully but knowing I'd put on really p*****d me off !! Most of the girls at SW had put on as well. Consultant swears that the scales are OK.
I was 17.5 when I started in Jan 2005 and am now 15.05 and I'm 5' 7". You've done exceptionally well when you think how much you've lost in a short time. I blamed my fatness on having had a baby but it wore a bit thin as she's now nearly 15 !! I think I'll do as you suggested and have some pics taken. Its great having this support on AB - more slimmers should join us.
Have a great day Amy - Elaine x
Oh Elaine! I am sorry you have had a little gain, they are so much worse when you know you have been really good!
Have you tried Mix 2 Max? I found doing a week of those gave my weight loss a good boost when I tried them! There is an article on them in this months SW magazine. Also, if you find you eat a lot of the same foods all the time, try some new things, that can give a good loss too.
I am the same height as you too, at least we are a bit lucky we can carry a bit more weight - so we should look fantasic slimmer! ;o)
Get the scoff out of your system and start a fresh today. You know if you carry on the eating you'll only feel worse next weigh in. You have achieved so much already, and the gain is probably just a natural fluctutation. I once gained 3lbs in a week when I had followed the plan religiously, I was so upset, but the next week I lost 4lbs!
After your idea re having a friend as a SW buddie, one of my old friends called last night, really upset about her weight - she is the one I lost weight with last time, so her timing was rather spooky! Anyway, we are going to get back in to it again which will be a huge help :)
Take care Elaine and don't beat yourself up over the gain, just remember the 35lbs gone!
