Depression also can make you sleepy and lethargic... some good energy boosting things i have found work include - avoiding processed food (especially refined sugar) and sticking to more natural whole foods (meat potatoes, vegetables e.g. things that don't come in a packet), making sure i get enough fresh air (half an hour walk every day), cutting out tea and coffee as the caffine just tires you out in the long run and really wears your internal organs out if you keep using it for years on end, and watch the alcohol intake....
good luck
I feel exactly the same, only I can't sleep either which is compounding the problem. But I am constantly tired regardless of how much sleep I get. It's very draining. Undercovers is right on all counts. I think maybe I need to do some more exercise. I also tend to be less tired when i'm doing something I can get my teeth into.
How about doing some decorating whilst you're not working, or doing some voluntary work so you have to get up and out the house.
Could be depression/SAD - lots of good advice above - perhaps a trip to the doctor too.
For feeling sleeping all the time my advice would be sunshine (if you can find any) and exercise - swimming usually make me feel more awake (but swimming about 30 lengths, not just going to the pool and paddling around for a bit!) It's funny as you'd think doing exercise would make you even more sleepy but it usually has the opposite effect on me.
You should get active FIRST thing in the day.. since your not working try getting up and going for a walk for about 30-40 mins.. or even a walk/ run.. then get home and shower.. then be ready for your day!!! You will notice you will have more motivation through out your day.. if things do not change try speaking to a Dr.
Good Luck!!!!
