old couple sitting by the pool on holiday. the old girl opens a can of pepsi. WHOOOSH, out pops a genie.
"you have such a warm and loving marriage, i can give you one wish each" said the genie.
like a shot the old girl says she would like a year long holiday, visiting all the places she could only dream about before. her wish was granted.
the old guy looked at his mrs and said
"im sorry for what im about to say me love, but i want a wife that is 30 younger than i am." his wish was granted. he instantly became 95 !!!
Go forward not back it's not that bad I'm 50 this year and having the best years of my life went on to and having the time of my life all sorts there to talk to come have a look tell them Suzie sent you
I'll be 40 this year and am suprised that this prospect is not really worrying me, unlike my 30th which really depressed me. And as jno said there's no point regretting the past, we should look forward to the future and use all the 'life experiance' we've gained so far, to do the things that we've always wanted to do.
I would like to think that if and when I get to my senior years that I can say 'I'd rather regret the things I did do, than regret the things I didn't!'
So don't worry Minxie, we all get days like you've described. Try making a list of all the things you'd like to do, even the weird and unusual and if the oppotunity ever arises go for it.
Thank you all for replying. Jno is right, there is no good me regretting the past, or that the past has gone so quickly. It happens to us all. I know. Maybe I was just having a really bad day. But mkt yes I am in a rut, you were spot on there, its getting my muddled head sorted. One thing at a time rather than trying to tackle everything at once is what I will try to aim for.
But thank you all again for taking the time to reply xx
