Can anyone recommend an effective and reliable vacuum cleaner which successfully removes cat hair and which doesn't cost hundreds of pounds? I really need one but can't afford the ones which cost 200-300 pounds.
Thank you.

I had a Panasonic upright that did the job pretty effectively, It cost about 70, but I have since thieved my boyfriends Dyson (just a normal one) and its totally eradicated all traces of hair. My carpets look great, so although the Panasonic looked like it was doing the job I can really notice the difference with this. Your best bet is just to make sure it has a roller brush on the underneath as it grabs the hairs as well as sucking them up.
