early 80's romance????

Does anyone out there remember a fantastic programme from the early 80's called Annika. It starred Jesse Birdsall and was about a girl who came over from Sweden, who Jesses character fell in love with. I remember loving this at the time but my memories are sketchy!! ( i was fairly young) If anyone can give me a few more details, or just tell me that you remember it too, i would be very grateful. cheers!!!

I think I remember her getting undressed. Either that or it was a dodgy swedish video of the same name

There was soooooooooo much nudity in that one - great for us who were teenage boys at the time.

There was a second series too, but it wasn't up to much

There was a scene where Jesse Birdsall's character was a guest at Annika's parents' house; the family were all in the sauna, and he was the last one to get in. Wearing a towel, he opened the door to find that they were all stark naked - he quickly shut the door and whipped off his towel to follow suit, and opened the door again to find a towelled-up family having a laugh at him...

Sorry Jules1968 i couldn't resist a cheeky reply. To answer yr question I do sort of remember it. I think Jesse lived in the Isle of Wight & followed Annika back to Sweden.

no problem peterd, reading these posts, i now think it WAS a porn!!! No wonder it sticks in my early memories!! like i said, i loved it but can't remember why, or much about it. Now i know!!!!!!!! saying that though, i am an old romantic and it must be that thats stayed with me, the sheer romance of young love.Ahhh. I would love to see it again now. It would probably be a load of rubbish, as these things tend to be that hold such fond memories from early youth! I think we were more easily pleased in those days!

thanks kempie.That all rang a bell. I would love to see it again! robertson, i can't believe you still have this from when it was only tv. Well, is it any good still?? I would guess so if you have kept it all this time. i'm surprised that so many have resonded to this question. i thought i was the only one who would remember it. just goes to show ya!!!! Maybe one day in the not too distant future, it will be released on dvd.
