Hi, I've recently been doing crazy hours at work ie 55 hour weeks. All my work is done on a laptop and my job is quite stressful and pressurising at times. Two weeks ago my eye started twitching and has not stopped since!Although it is really annoying, nobody else can see it jumping-only I can feel it all the time!

Does anyone know if my eye went like this because of a combination of stress and lack of sleep?Do you think it will go back to normal when I take a break from work for 6 weeks to study for exams? Thanks!

My eyes do that every now and then. My eye doctor told me that the twitching can be caused by a variety of things, including stress, and that my twitching was likely to go away on its own. It still happens to me once in a while - not often - and always goes away on its own.

I've had the same too. When my eyelid used to twitch i could see it twitching when i looked in the mirror. The twitching would last for around 5 seconds. Lately when i have been going to sleep, just as i am about to nod off i sometimes twitch and then i wake up. I'm not sure why this happens but it does feel good.

I too occasionally have a twitchy eyelid which lasts a few seconds, and it feels great...It's like it's massaging your eyeballs!!! hehe

I've never had it for 2 weeks though

I have gone through all of what your eye is doing now.. I had seen a Dr and everything.. Left eye = stress, maybe you are too concernd of what people are thinking of you right now (relax and be more positive with your self)... think about that..

Right eye= Not good.. get checked by Dr.. most of the time relate to brain tomers.. My mom just had a tomoer removed and her right eye twitched for years on and off.. the Dr said that was a sign...
