'madonna' mouth piercing...>>

Hey, I'm going to get it done and was just wondering what the proper term for this piercing is? If you're still confused as to what I mean it's the piercing Mutya (ex-sugababe) has.

Also, has anyone had it done? How much does it hurt in comparison to your ear lobes and have you had any trouble with it? Thanks!

Dotty I think its where they have their top lip, well not exactly lip, sorta inbetween lip and nose, pierced.

it's actually called a 'monroe' piercing as marylin monroe always had a beauty spot in that position. It has nothing to do with madonna.

I havnt got it pierced but i have got my lip pierced so it should feel just like that, it doesnt hurt but that also depends on where you go... some places will numb it for 10mins first or some will just clean the area and pierce it straight away but either way its just a sharp sting and thats it. be careful when eating soon afterwards as u may catch the bar on your teeth.

It's probably also known as a 'Madonna' piercing since she used to have a beauty spot a'la Monroe a while back (don't know if she still does, anyone know?)

I guess young uns today would know more about Madonna than they would Monroe? just a thought ;o)
