If you ask someone a question and you get the reply 'I don't have to explain myself to you or anyone' do you think they are guilty of something?

yes definetly without a doubt if they arnt guilty why dont they just say it so obvious wen somebody says that to youxxxxx
I would question why they didnt want to tell me yes
not necessarily they might be embarassed or feel like they can't tell you. I think you need to know why they wont tell you first.
Definately. If they was innocent then they would have no problem in telling all! Why whats happened? ;o)

Just a mate of mines bloke had promised he wouldnt speak to his ex anymore. She got told that he was yesterday so she confronted him and he wouldnt answer he just said he didnt need to explain himself to anyone.

I would be more likely to question why he can't talk to whoever he wants........ what kind of insecure person would ask someone to do that, it shows a complete lack of trust.

Question Author
Ah its not that he cant talk to her, he can if he wants but its the fact that she caused alot of trouble between them and he promised her he wouldnt speak to her ever again because he said he would cut her out of his life all together than risk losing my mate. If he wanted to speak to her then he should have said its more that if he is again he's broken that promise.
yes guilty
people are allowed to talk or not talk to anyone they want, so he's right on that score, he doesn't have to explain himself to anyone. Equally, your mate does have reasonable grounds for suspicion if he won't talk about something that concerns the two of them. Her move next; she has to decide whether to trust him or not - and it sounds like she doesn't. No relationship can last long without trust, and it doesn't matter who does or doesn't do the trusting.
Question Author
This is it jno she does trust him, so if he promises to never speak to this other girl, his choice not hers then that should be a promise shouldnt it. So she expects that but I just think his answer is a bit of a cop out.
then I guess you'd better stay out of it 4getmenot and keep your suspicions to yourself.. but have a shoulder ready to be cried on, she might be needing it.
