How do i stop my pride getting in the way?

A woman a work is driving everyone crazy running back and forth telling tales to boss watching everybody's move.I spoke up and blew my top now i have got in trouble the person who was annoying people got away scot free , Boss says we should forgive and forget but this woman is being doing this for months and we all had enough .My pride won't let me just forget at moment i can't be false and be all over ,as anyoneelse had this situation what did you do ?

I wud take her to one side and say everyones sick of what shes doing

I agree. I would put on your best super-calm and mature attitude, take her aside, apologise for losing the rag, and point out how annoyed you and your colleagues are by her antics. It's affecting your work / office morale, etc. Tell her you feel uncomfortable and that you can't trust her, but would be willing to forgive and forget if she can change her ways. Don't get wound up, because tw@ts like her will love the drama. I hope you get it sorted, inej! xxx

I have had a person like this at work before and I got alot of advice about it from someone I trusted. I think you should realise that people like that are not good at doing work but they are good at promoting themselves to bosses. They are also expert at getting others into trouble. My advice is sit tight, say nothing, don't react at all, for as long as you can manage, and they will eventually put a foot wrong. If they fail to do something at their job and its your job to notice, then inform someone senior about it calmly, but otherwise, don't let them wind you up - they are expert manipulators and you'll get in trouble.

It won't make no difference taking her to one side, we had a woman like that at work (and she was my 'friend').

Me and two others were made redundant as at Friday, we were due to finish at 12:30, boss not in, this woman says 'Go at 12:00, I don't mind answering the phone till half past'. We leave at 12:00, woman goes to boss at 9:00am monday morning to grass us up for leaving early!!! What does she think he's going to do? We don't work there anymore!

She's done this in the past, we've told her what we think, she tells boss we have had a go at her and we get b**locked for causing an atmosphere in the office.

You can't win with people like that, ignore them and pretend they are no there - it's the only way.

With people like this you really have to box clever.If you can not ignore her ( I would find it difficult myself ) You can only really say what you think about her yourself , and she will be sure to make that somehow this comes back around and bites you in the botty. I would take a minute to think to think about how the others in your workplace, acted or reacted : have they left you take the fall or do you feel supported by them ( in public or in private? ) or are they just as guilty of being naughty by pointing this out to you, knowing that you are close to blowing your lid! Tread lightly until you are sure of everyones intentions. Good Luck!

Thank you all for your answers read them all before work this morning ,Have tried again to get on but i think the only thing that can help at the moment is space so i have asked the boss if i can temporarily move desks. Thanks for all the advice given it meant alot xx.
