Why are people up in arms? I've never heard of these tests personally, are they online things?

I've tried them and find them interesting, although I can understand why they'd make people uncomfortable. The tests are supposed to test your prejudices. I did one about sexism and one about racism. The tests basically measure your unconscious prejudices, errr, the description of one test says "This version of the Implicit Association Test measures unconscious or automatic associations of "good" and "bad" with Black and White people."

I personally found it interesting because it does force you to confront your prejudices. I doubt there are many people who are totally 100% non-sexist/racist/whatever so that's probably why some people are up-in-arms. I don't know the science behind these tests or whether they are respected in the field of psychology.
