And in fact period clothes - within reason, a la Mr Darcy, Colonel Brandon etc.........
You have me thinking now......Ahhhh
Fortunately, husband will be home tonight and he will be in a full suit, tie, cufflinks etc.....also he wears specs which I also find rather yummy with the correct clothing of course. Kind of bookish, but vulnerable, brainy but not a risk taker. It's all very well going with dangerous men, and we all go through our Motorcylce phase, but you don't take them home to your mum, or expect them to nurture your new baby.......
However, mr darcy.....definately take him home to meet Mummy. And my sister is welcome to Mr bingley and my other sister can have Edward.....I'll have Col. Branden if darcy has gone, Heathcliffe at a push, ( he was militia, implied, not stated) .......dream, dream, dream.......
Now, where's my new bonnet? I must to town to buy new ribbons. I may meet a policemen on the way, who knows?
I work a lot with the police so it kind of puts you off, they all tend to be real dogs and totally believe the "women love me cos I'm copper" thing.
However, firemen - yes please, though the ones round by me tend to be more fireman sam than anything else and since seeing Jarhead, I would like a US Marine, or Jake Gyllenhaal dressed as one.
My favourite 'uniform' isn't really a uniform but when my hubby is labouring and he gets in from work in his dirty jeans, ripped up crappy old t-shirt and steel toe caps. Mmmmm. That just does it for me. Especially in the summer, when he has got a gorgeous tan and doesn't even weat the crappy ripped up t-shirt..........
