I recieved a email today from someone from John Travolta's website call me sad but i was happy i got a reply, Have you ever written to celebs and was so excited cos they replied?

Also have you ever seen a celebrity out and about and been too embarrassed to speak to .This happened when we saw Paul Ogrady .Any views ? thanks

I did see nick heyward once,many years ago,loved him at the time,passed him out side a club,i turned into a blithering idiot and said nothing as my dream vanished!Then last year saw MIDGE URE,oh lush,wanted to jump on him,bottled out,still living in hope!!!

I saw the actress Saffron Burrows perform on stage and she was brilliant,so much better than I expected from a former model. I wrote and told her how impressed I was with her performance and she sent me a hand written card as a thank you. At most, I expected a signed photo from her agent. I was touched by that gesture, I must admit.

yes, i got told by robbie williams i had a nice smile,kissed my hand then he took my scotland flag off me at his murrayfield concert....i was more dumbstruck than starstruck!!!

I was at Newmarket Races once and got chatting to Vinnie Jones and Joe Kinnear in the bar after racing had finished,they invited me and my mate to a pub and my mate said to Vinnie Jones...."your not a poof are ya"...Vinnie gave him a "playful" slap then laughed about it

My sister won tickets to see Lucie Silvas but gave them to me cos she was pregnant at the time. Me and my m8 went. There were only about 100 people there, and i was right at the front, i got my picture took with here...and have her autograph too! There is also a club where i live and they regularly invite celebs...we have recently had Gary Lucy, Bruno from Footballers wives, Anthony Hutton(from Big Brother), Marcus Patrick and many more...

Friend of mine is big fan of singer David Byrne, and was overjoyed when Mr Byrne played a gig at friend's workplace - friend is a technician who works on these gigs. Friend has worked with dozens of really big names and they never faze him.

So Mr Byrne and friend are introduced, Mr Byrne extends hand to friend, friend shakes hands ... but is unable to utter a single comprehensible word because he's turned into a gibbering idiot. Now he wants to meet the singer again to apologise for last time.

I went to see the writer John Irving at the Edinburgh festival a couple of years ago, and stood on the line for autographs for ages....when my turn came, trying to look cool although I was a nervous wreck ( he's my favourite author ), he asked me for my name, which I gave. Then he asked me to spell it for him. That's where I lost it : I suddenly couldn't remember how to spell my name!!!! I cringe at the thought to this day ! lol He ended up spelling it and I just nodded like an idiot...the shame !

I recently had a long and interesting conversion on the phone (I work in a call centre) arranging insurance for a very chatty and friendly young lady who turned out to be none other than TV's own Kirsty Gallacher. I was dumbfounded!

..over the years I have met many celebs, including anthony hopkins, cozy powell, most of the corrie cast, leslie phillips, ben fogle and loads more....and have never been starstruck until last summer when I met Johnny Vagas!...I have no idea what came over me...

My daughter won a competition on cduk a couple of years ago to meet Gareth Gates and sung on stage with him.

A couple of years ago I'd taken my daughter and her friend to the TFM live concert in Stockton where the main band was Busted. After they'd been on we left early and as we approached a pub on the High St I saw Charlie Simpson coming out surrounded by blonde girls. We were all practically squealing as he walked past us. Still wish I'd had the bottle to speak to him. I'm 47 by the way !!

Also had handwriten letters from Joanna Lumley and Clive Mantle.
