Why do people sulk

Just wondered if there are any sulkers on here.

I personally don't as really could not be bothered and once I have blown a gasket its over, forgotton and I can't be bothered letting things fester any more.

I live with a cronic sulker, both my parents were sulkers and to a point my brother is but why ????

If you do sulk do you ever wake up, forget you are sulking and start talking and then remember and go quiet again.

I think most do it for attention, to get all the "Are you alright?"'s etc.

Sulking is pretty pointless though.

I'll be honest - I do sulk sometimes.

When someone has to have something THEIR way or the highway then I kinda withdraw from them.

I do this because there's no point aruging with someone who is "right" in their mind.

I don't let it affect my whole state though :D

I wasn't very specific in that post but while I was say;ing that I was thinking about a couple of teachers I have. While other teachers are more lenient and we get the same amount of work done.

Like I can't listen to mp3 in class when I'm working. If any of us talk -- even a little bit -- then she'll whine.

So I don't act like i'm in a mood but I act like i'm above it and think it's stupid. No point challenging it because she's "right". No chances.
